Ski chalet house rules template

Check-in and checkout

• Check-in is from [Check-in time]. Checkout is by [Checkout time].
• Winter roads up here can be steep. Please bring winter tires or chains. [Road note]

Guests and noise

• Up to [Max guests] guests can stay overnight.
• Quiet hours are [Quiet hours start] to [Quiet hours end].
• No parties or events, please.

Pets, smoking and photos

• No smoking or vaping inside or on the balconies.
• Please ask before commercial photography or filming.

Chalet requests

• Please take off ski and snow boots at the door or in the boot room. They scratch the floors and leave puddles.
• Skis, poles and boards go in [Gear room location]. The boot dryer is [Boot dryer location].
• Please don't dry gloves or clothes on the baseboard heaters or the fireplace screen. It's a fire risk.
• Fireplace: [Fireplace instructions]. Please never leave it burning when you go out or to bed.
• Hot tub: please check the cover is locked after use, and no glass. Ice around the tub is slippery, so take care.
• Parking: [Parking note, e.g. two cars in the driveway; please leave space for the plough on [Plough days]].
• If snow blocks the door or steps, the shovel and ice melt are [Shovel location].

Locking up

• Please lock the doors when you head to the hill and at checkout.

Checkout

• Put used dishes in the sink.
• Gather used towels in [Towel spot].
• Sort trash and recycling into the indoor bins. Please keep garbage inside; animals visit at night.
• Turn the heat down to [Heat setting] (not off, or the pipes may freeze), turn off lights and close the windows.
• Lock up and return the keys to [Key return spot].
