Keegix is a Waypoint Labs product. I run it myself from Nova Scotia. This page explains, in plain English, what I collect, why, where it is kept and how to delete it.

What I collect from hosts

• Your email address, so I can send sign-in links and account emails.
• What you type into your properties: names, check-in steps, wifi details, house rules and anything else you add.
• Photos you upload.
• Your plan (free or Pro), the number of properties you pay for, and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. I never see or store your card number. Stripe handles payment details.

If you order a setup

When you fill in the setup form, I receive your name, email, property details, listing link and any photos you attach. I use them only to build your welcome book and to contact you about your order. The form is stored by Netlify. Once your welcome book is delivered and any changes are done, I delete the form submission and its photos. The finished welcome book stays in your Keegix account until you delete it.

What I collect from guests

Guests don't create accounts. When a guest opens a welcome book, the server processes the request to show the page, like any website. If a guide has a password, the password is sent with each page load and checked; it is kept in the guest's browser only until they close the tab.

What I don't do

• I don't sell your information.
• I don't run advertising or advertising trackers.
• I don't use analytics cookies. Your sign-in is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.

Where your data is kept

• Supabase stores the database, sign-in accounts and photos in its Canada (Central) region.
• Netlify hosts the website, runs the server code and stores setup form submissions.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Resend sends sign-in and account emails.

Netlify, Stripe and Resend may process data outside Canada under their own privacy policies.

Who can see your welcome book

Anyone with the link can open a welcome book unless you set a guest password. The link is long and random, and guest pages ask search engines not to index them, but treat the link like a house key: share it with guests, not publicly.

How long I keep it

I keep your information while your account exists. If you delete a property, its content and photos are removed. If you delete your account, everything is removed.

Deleting your account

Sign in, go to Your properties, scroll to Delete my account, type DELETE and press the button. This cancels any Pro subscription and permanently removes your properties, photos, profile and sign-in account. Stripe keeps its own payment records as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of your information, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email the address listed on this site.
