Loft house rules template

Check-in and checkout

• Check-in is from [Check-in time]. Checkout is by [Checkout time].
• The building entrance is [Entrance description]. Your loft is on floor [Floor number].
• Elevator: [Elevator instructions, e.g. pull the gate fully closed before pressing the button].

Guests and noise

• The loft sleeps [Max guests] guests. It's one open space, so [Sleeping layout].
• Hard floors and high ceilings carry sound to the neighbours below. Please keep quiet hours from [Quiet hours start] to [Quiet hours end].
• No parties or events, please. The open layout makes them tempting, but the building doesn't allow them.

Pets, smoking and photos

• Pets: [Pet rule].
• No smoking or vaping inside, on the roof or in the stairwells.
• Lofts get a lot of photo shoot requests. No commercial photography or filming without our written OK.

Loft requests

• Please wear soft shoes or socks indoors, and lift rather than drag the chairs.
• The big windows face east, so the blackout blinds are [Blind controls].
• Please don't open the large windows more than [Window limit]. There's no screen, and it's a long way down.
• Building doors: please make sure the street door closes behind you and never prop it open.
• Rooftop: [Rooftop rule, e.g. open to guests until 10 pm, no glass].

Locking up

• Please lock the loft door every time you go out.

When you leave

• Put used dishes in the sink.
• Gather used towels in [Towel spot].
• Sort trash and recycling into the bins under the counter.
• Turn off lights and the heat or AC, and close the windows.
• Lock the door and leave the keys [Key return spot].
