House rules in Hindi: free translated template

Many Indian guests read English well, but a note in Hindi feels warm and personal, and it helps when parents or grandparents are travelling with the family. This template is written in everyday, respectful Hindi in Devanagari script, the way a host in India would write it.

It keeps common English words that Hindi speakers use daily, like check-in, wifi and AC, so it reads naturally. It covers the welcome, times, wifi, the standard house rules and a short checkout list.

Tips

The template uses आप, the respectful form of you; never use तुम or तू with guests.
Have a native speaker check anything legal, such as deposits, damage or cancellation wording, before you add it to this template.
Everyday loanwords like चेक-इन, लॉक and एसी are deliberate; very formal Sanskrit-based Hindi can be harder for guests to read.
Write times with the 24-hour clock or add सुबह (morning) or शाम (evening) so there's no confusion.
If your guests are mostly from Gujarat or another region, ask whether a note in their own language would suit them better.

Do Indian guests need house rules in Hindi?

Not always, since many read English. A Hindi version is a kind touch for families and older relatives, and it helps make sure everyone in the group knows the rules.

Should I write Hindi in Devanagari or in English letters?

Devanagari, as in this template, is the standard and looks more respectful. Some younger guests type Hindi in English letters, but that's for chatting, not for a house guide.

Should I use आप or तुम with guests?

Always आप. It's the respectful form of you, and anything else would feel rude to most guests.
