Check-in and checkout

• Check-in from [Check-in time]. Checkout by [Checkout time].

Guests and noise

• The cabin sleeps [Max guests] guests.
• Quiet hours are [Quiet hours start] to [Quiet hours end].
• No parties or events, please.

Pets, smoking and photos

• Pets: [Pet rule].
• No smoking or vaping inside. Outdoors, please use the metal can at [Smoking spot], as the forest is dry.
• No commercial photography or filming without asking.

Living off-grid

• Power comes from solar panels and batteries. Please don't use hair dryers, kettles or heaters that plug in. [What can be charged and where]
• The battery monitor is [Monitor location]. If it drops below [Battery level], please switch off lights you aren't using.
• Water comes from [Water source] and is limited. Please keep showers short. Drinking water: [Drinking water note].
• The toilet is [Toilet type, e.g. a composting toilet / an outhouse]. Instructions are on the wall. Only toilet paper, please.
• Wood stove: [Stove instructions]. Never leave it burning when you go out or to sleep.
• Propane: if you smell gas, turn off the tank at [Propane valve location] and step outside.
• There's no phone signal. For emergencies, [Emergency plan, e.g. the satellite messenger is in the drawer / nearest signal is at the road].

Locking up

• Please lock the cabin when you head out and at checkout.

Before you go

• Put used dishes in the basin by the sink.
• Gather used towels in [Towel spot].
• Sort trash and recycling into the bins inside.
• Turn off lights and the inverter, let the stove burn out, and close the windows.
• Lock up and return the key [Key return spot].
