House rules in Italian: free translated template
Italian guests often travel as couples, families or groups of friends, so this template speaks to everyone in the party at once. It's written in warm, polite Italian, the way an Italian host would greet guests, rather than a stiff translation of English rules.
You get a welcome line, arrival and departure times, wifi, the usual house rules and a gentle checkout list. Italians commonly say check-in and check-out in English, so those terms are kept as they are.

Tips
- The template uses voi, the natural polite way to address a group in Italian; use Lei instead if you're writing to one guest and want it more formal.
- Have a native speaker check anything legal, such as deposits, damage or cancellation wording, before you add it to this template.
- Raccolta differenziata means sorting trash for recycling; tell guests which bin is which, since local sorting rules vary.
- Write times in the 24-hour clock (dalle 15:00, entro le 10:00), which Italians use for schedules.
- Keep the checkout list as a request (vi chiediamo gentilmente), which reads far friendlier in Italian than a list of orders.

Questions
Should I use Lei or voi with Italian guests?
For a group or a family, voi is natural and still polite. Lei is the formal choice for one guest, especially an older one, but either works in a welcome note.
What is the Italian for check-in and checkout?
Most Italians simply say check-in and check-out. You can also use arrivo and partenza, as the template does in its heading.
What does raccolta differenziata mean for guests?
It means separating waste into recycling streams, such as paper, plastic, glass and general waste. Label your indoor bins so guests know which one to use.
