Mid-stay check-in message template for Airbnb hosts
On stays of four nights or more, a mid-stay message catches things guests wouldn't bother reporting: a slow drain, a bulb out, running low on toilet paper. Offer help without making them feel checked up on.
Be careful not to suggest you'll be popping in. Guests have the place to themselves, so if you offer a top-up of supplies, let them pick the time or leave it at the door.

Short version
Hi [Guest first name],
Hope you're enjoying your stay! Just checking in halfway through: do you need anything, like more towels, toilet paper or coffee? I can drop it at the door at a time that suits you.

Detailed version
Hi [Guest first name],
I hope the stay's been great so far. Since you're here for a few more days, I wanted to check in:
- Running low on anything? I can leave [Supplies, e.g. towels, toilet paper, dish soap, coffee] at the door.
- Anything not working quite right? Even small things like a bulb or a dripping tap, I'd like to know.
- Garbage pickup is on [Trash day]. [Bin note, e.g. I'll put the bins out, so just use the kitchen bins.]
If you'd like ideas for the rest of your trip, [Local suggestion] is worth a visit, and [Restaurant name] is great for dinner.
No need to reply if all's well. Enjoy the rest of your stay!

Tips
- Send it only on stays of about four nights or more; shorter stays don't need it.
- Offer to leave supplies at the door rather than coming inside.
- Tell guests there's no need to reply if all is well, so it doesn't feel like a chore.
- For monthly stays, agree a regular time for any cleaning or maintenance, with notice.

Questions
Can I enter the rental during a guest's stay?
Only in a genuine emergency or with the guest's agreement, at a time they've okayed. Arrange any visit in the platform messages first.
Should I offer mid-stay cleaning?
For long stays it's a nice offer, but make it optional and agree the time with the guest. If it costs extra, add it through the platform.
How do I check in without bothering guests?
Send one short message, offer something specific and tell them no reply is needed if everything's fine.
