Emergency info for guests in Norway (rental template)
Norway splits its emergency numbers: 112 is police, 110 is fire and 113 is ambulance. Visitors who dial 112 for a medical emergency will still be connected, but it's faster to call 113. The 116 117 line reaches the legevakt for urgent problems after hours.
We checked these numbers in November 2026, but services change, so please confirm them locally before you print or share the page.

Outdoors
- Lighting fires in or near woodland is generally not allowed from 15 April to 15 September.
- In winter, check avalanche warnings before going into the mountains, and tell someone your route.
- Wood stove: please keep the door closed when you're not adding wood, and empty ash only into the metal bucket.
Copied. Paste it into your welcome book or message.
Tips
- Put 113 first; guests from other countries often dial 112 for everything.
- Give GPS coordinates and the cabin's name for hytter on unnamed roads.
- Explain the wood stove clearly, since many cabins rely on one for heat.
- Say how far the nearest legevakt is, especially in rural areas where it may be an hour away.
