Emergency info for rental guests in the Netherlands
The Netherlands uses 112 for emergencies, 0900-8844 for police when nobody is in danger, and one national line, 0800-9009, for gas and power outages. Water is everywhere here, so the template adds a canal note and room for the out-of-hours GP post.
We checked these numbers in November 2026, but services change, so please confirm them locally before you print or share the page.

Tips
- Give the street, house number and any letter or floor (like 12-2 hoog), and which door to use.
- Add your huisartsenpost number; guests often don't know a GP post handles night and weekend problems.
- If your place is on a canal, keep a lifebuoy or throw rope where guests can see it, and say where on the page.
- If you have a houseboat, add the berth and the name painted on the boat.
