Emergency info for guests in India (rental template)
India now has 112 as a single emergency number, while 100 (police), 101 (fire) and 108 (ambulance in most states) still work. The tourist helpline, 1363, answers in Hindi, English and ten foreign languages. Most homes cook on LPG, so the 1906 gas leak line is worth adding.
We checked these numbers in November 2026, but services change, so please confirm them locally before you print or share the page.

Tips
- Give a well-known landmark with the address; dispatchers and drivers rely on landmarks more than street numbers.
- Check which ambulance number (108 or 102) works in your state and keep only that one.
- Show guests how to turn off the LPG regulator, with a photo.
- Name a private hospital with a 24-hour casualty department, and one government hospital.
